IntCultAE
Intercultural Competence Development for Adult Education
The “Intercultural Competence Development for Adult Education” project is funded by the EU under the Erasmus + Cooperation partnerships in adult education. Given the global challenges facing humans in the 21st century, learning to live together is imperative. The growth of violent extremism, the mounting migration and displacement crises (now aggravated by the war in Ukraine), and the rise of divisive political populism have underscored the need to expand, consolidate, and intensify dialogue among people with different cultural backgrounds and beliefs. Effectively managing the growing cultural diversity within our societies is a primary condition to counter hate speeches, foster a culture of peace and promote enriching interactions between people with diverse cultural backgrounds. Therefore, promoting and teaching intercultural competencies to answer cultural diversity and better intercultural contact is a meaningful response. The IntCult AE's main goal is to promote greater understanding and responsiveness to cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue, and democratic values.
