Carla Xavier

Born in Lisbon, graduated in Clinical Psychology by ISPA (2004) and full member of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (Professional Card No. 11471).

In 2011 ended her post-graduation in Gender Equality in Barcelona and in 2014 made a specialization in Intervention in Disaster situations / Intervention in Crisis, by Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses, where collaborates as a trainer in this area.

Combined with the clinical practice, she has integrated projects of social intervention with prisoners, substance abuse, women and children victim of violence and other social exclusion situations.

She’s been dedicating most of her professional career to intervention and combating violence; she has coordinated a project in this field at national level.
Authored manuals to promote gender equality and combat violence in the educational field.

In the last few years she is trainer of young people in the areas of Citizenship and Health Promotion also being trainer of adults in the behavioural area.
Also collaborates with APAV, as a trainer of a program that aims to fight bullying in the educational context.
